Day 22: Conscious Touch: Deepening the Quality of Your Touch Through Self Understanding by Steve Kokker

Touching with deep, present listening is something many strive for in their attempts to deepen their relationships with others. This process begins with the self. More difficult than learning specialised techniques is sharpening our ability to listen more deeply to our own bodies, our ability to hear its messages, and our ability to empty ourselves of expectations and judgements. Not to mention asking for then asking for what our body needs. This seminar will dive into the beauty conscious touch can lead us to, and through exercises awaken our capacity to feel more - so that we can give more.

About Steve:

Steve is Canadian-born but has been living in his ancestral home of Estonia for many years. After spending years as a film critic then a roaming travel writer for Lonely Planet, he has studied the art of meditative tea ceremony and many forms of bodywork. He currently runs a specialised teashop and bodywork studio in Tallinn.

He regularly teaches day-long courses on lingam massage, prostate massage and anal healing massage in which a holistic, ritualisitc approach is favoured over techniques. He also teaches about conscious touch massage and has held festival workshops on nonsexual conscious touch for brothers.

He runs men's sharing circles about issues of sexuality and does personal consultation for men as well as teaching intimate massage to couples. In addition, he hosts regular meditative tea ceremonies and events.
